Will my pup be registered?
They will be UKC and possibly AKC registered as well.
You will receive a temporary puppy registration that you will have to complete and submit to UKC.
What is the cost of my puppy?
We ask $250 a pup for those that will be going to homes
where they will be campaigned in UKC, AKC and/or PKC events.
We prefer placing pups in homes where they will be campaigned
in conformation shows, field trials, water races and/or hunts. This is because, when we breed (which isn't often), we
want to be sure our breeding program and future lines from that cross continue to be strong performance bloodlines.
The only way we can gauge our breeding success and determine whether or not to focus on a specific 'line' of dogs in our breeding
program, is by performance. The only way to verify this, is to have the dogs compete.
This isn't to say we do not sell to pet homes.
We do however, give preference to homes that campaign their redbones in any of the events I mentioned above.
Puppies that are bought for pets (not to be competing in
any of the registries mentioned above), are $375. A written certificate of spay/nueter is required to be sent to
us prior to the dog's 9 month birthday. Once we receive the spay/nueter verification from your vet (again, in writing),
we will reimburse you $50. If at the age of 10 months, if the dog has not been spayed/neutered, we reserve the right
to buy the dog back at the original purchase price.
Do you ship your puppies? What do you charge for
We have had some very negative experiences shipping puppies and older dogs in that have been flown cargo.
Our personal preference is to ship by ground. Or, with puppies, take the pup in the cabin and fly with you. (I have
done this in the past and it's a much better experience for the puppy).
There are some very reputable ground animal transport companies out there that do a wonderful job!
If we ship by air, we have the new owner sign a form for us stating that we (the breeders) cannot be held
responsible for anything physical or physiological that may show up in the puppy/dog.
Some of our experiences, leave us feeling air shipping a dog is not the most preferred method of transport.
If you chose to air transport, again, a signed waiver will be asked for. We charge a $75 shipping
The buyer assumes all costs for the flight which includes (but not limited to):
-airfare taxes and any surcharges assessed by the airline
-airline approved crate
-health certificate stating the dog can fly (this is different that the standard health certificate that
comes with every puppy) This is required by arlines and must be completed by a vet 24 hours prior to the dog being shipped
